Welcome to Saint Matthew

Saint Matthew's Parish was founded in 1942 with the vision, hard work and sacrifices of its original 450 worshippers representing the Woodcrest, Newport and the Five Points area.

Throughout the years, our parish has grown in size, faith and purpose. Today, we welcome up to 900 parishioners at Mass each week, and care for thousands in our ministries. Since our humble beginnings, St. Matthew's goal has been to do the Lord's work. As our Parish has evolved, we did so for the Lord. Today, that goal remains the same.

Weekly Masses

Monday - Friday: 7:00am and 8:30am
Saturday: 8:30am and 5:00pm
Sunday: 7:30am, 9:00am and 11:30am
Holy Days: Schedule varies

Reconciliation

Every Saturday afternoon beginning at 3:30pm.

Baptism

Baptisms are celebrated the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month at 12:45pm. Baptismal Preparation Class for parents is held on the 1st Wednesday of each month. Please call the parish office at 633-5850 for more information.

Marriage

Please contact one of the parish priests or deacons At LEAST ONE YEAR before your wedding date.
